toysConsumer Product Testing

The sheer volume of toys and other consumer products manufactured in emerging economies makes extensive materials testing at an out side lab impractical. With a QC-I, quality control personnel can:

  • Test for lead and other hazardous substances at the loading dock, or on the factory floor
  • Perform a fast check on incoming raw materials or finished product
  • Non-destructive test without ruining your goods to get results
  • Easily used by non-technical operators

RoHSRoHS and China RoHS

The QC-I delivers fast and simple RoHS compliance results.

  • Full suite of available elements includes: Cl, Ti, Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Zn, As, Hg, Pb, Bi, Mo, Ag, Cd, Sn, Sb, Ba
  • Automatic sample recognition of polymer-type, alloy-type or non-homogenous - then selects the x-ray source, filtering and calibrations to opimize analysis
  • No operator input required
  • Sample uniformity indicator - operator warned of non-homogenous sample, with “mixed” indicator so there are far fewer operator errors due to mixed sample types
  • Analytical method - XRF results are determined using fundamental parameters - operators do not need to run calibration standards or generate empirically derived curves

alloysAlloy Analysis and QC

Oil refining, petrochemical, power generation and aerospace all use alloys in their fabrication, piping, valve systems and turbines. It is becoming standard industry practice to require manufacturers, including off-shore manufacturers to provide alloy verification using XRF analysis. The QC-I brings laboratory grade testing to the factory floor. The QC-I captures the power, speed and precision of a dedicated industrial alloy analyzer in a sealed, rugged unit that is ideal for at-line operation in foundries, incoming inspection, scrap processing or the production line.

  • Shows alloy chemistry and grade names in seconds with a large editable alloy library
  • Aerospace and power generation - analyze superalloys quickly and precisely - for example, Ni/Co superalloys or 97-3 from Ta
  • Large analysis chamber can handle items like turbine blades and other large metal samples
  • Failure analysis - ID alloys from ultra-small shavings and particles, down to 50 um or less
  • Analyze precious metals such as gold alloys and platinum metal group (PMG) alloys
